Hey everyone! New update today, with some new handy Token customization options for Nodes, as well as some quality of life improvements and fixes. Hope you enjoy!
Node Tokens Improvements:
- Added two new card layouts for Node Tokens: Content Card (shows the Node’s name and rich-text content) and Image Card (shows the Node’s name and featured image, with full card-style customization options).
- Content Card layout allows individual customization of the Node name (header) font size and the rich-text content font size. The name can also be entirely hidden.
- Card layout Tokens can be resized, with background, borders, and content adapting to the new size.
- Card Layouts support border customization, including border style, border color, and inner padding.
- Card layouts also support background color customization, making it easier to visually organize or theme your boards.
- In card layouts, the Node name displays above the featured image, and you can choose to hide the name entirely from the Token settings.
- Image Card layout offers enhanced visual flexibility compared to Standard layout while retaining the featured image display.

New Minor Features:
- Widgets can now be named in the Widget Tree, which also displays its picture if it has one, or a corresponding icon.
- You can now set the opacity of the UI background when enlarging an image. This allows you open an image without showing the content of your modules behind if you set the opacity to 100%, for example if you want to show an image to your players during a game, without showing the details of your board.
- Content blocks in the Page in the Editor now feature a “type” icon when hovering over them, or when they’re selected, to help differentiate between different block Nodes or Text Blocks without having to look them up in the tree.
- 200+ icons have been added to the Library.
Changes:
- We’ve removed the “Selection Filter” behavior from the Editor when clicking “Edit Node” from a Token on the Board. Instead of opening the Editor with only the selected Node, it will now simply find and scroll to that Node in the Editor. The Selection Filter made more sense before the Pages and Folders update when you couldn’t yet organize your Nodes and content as easily in the Editor, but now that it is possible, we’ve realized through user feedback that the Selection Filter actually caused more confusion than anything else, hence our decision to remove it.
- Copy-paste of Link Token settings will no longer copy the link’s Label, only the visual settings of the Link Token.
- When creating a new Link or moving an existing Link Token, a border will appear around the element you’re aiming the link towards to make it easier to see its boundaries and to aim for specific sides.
- Locked Tokens no longer accept Links, they need to be unlocked before doing so. This is to make the behavior of locked Tokens more consistent and to allow for cases such as using a locked Image Widget as a background for an area for example and preventing new Links on top of it from linking to it when trying to Link another Token.
Bug Fixes:
- Removed the “Edit Anchor” button on External Link Anchors that was visible in context menus in reader boards, when it shouldn’t have been (it was simply a visual bug, not a functional one).
- Fixed an issue where in cases where if floating windows were open on the Board while the Editor was also open, some of those floating windows would appear on top of the Editor after opening certain modals.
- Fixed the width of the Link Token that is created while drag-and-dropping to create a new Link so that it is properly visible at all zoom levels.
- The zoom speed has been decreased for touchpads.
Misc:
- Refactored some back-end code in preparation for future updates.
